We are seeking an experienced Process Safety Engineer to play a key role in strengthening and maintaining process safety systems within a high-risk industrial environment.
This position is responsible for embedding process safety principles into daily operations, ensuring risks are effectively identified, assessed, and controlled. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive safety performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support process safety risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA)
Maintain and continuously improve the process safety risk register
Support development and ongoing management of site safety case documentation
Conduct and facilitate critical control verification activities
Promote and integrate process safety practices into operational systems
Assist with incident investigations and safety-related reviews
Ensure alignment with relevant legislation, standards, and internal frameworks
Required skillset:
Degree-qualified in Chemical Engineering or similar
Around 5+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing or related industries
Strong understanding of process safety management systems
Experience with risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP and LOPA
Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability
